Vanguard Monitor Supports User Tracking via LDAP |
Waterloo Systems announces support for highly flexible and granular
User Authentication and tracking in the latest version of the popular
online web service, Vanguard Monitor. Support for onboard UTM
authentication, RADIUS, plus popular LDAP products such as Microsoft's
Active Directory, Novell NDS eDirectory, and others, enables you
analyze and track internet use throughout the organization.
"This is a new and cost-effective way for organizations to enhance usage
tracking without adding expensive web traffic monitoring software like
Websense or SafeSurf", says Phil Salemi, President and CEO of Waterloo
Systems. The ability to track users is included with all
Vanguard Monitor accounts at no extra charge, and administrators can
choose from several built-in authentication tools already available
with UTM firewalls like the freedom9 freeGuard 100.
By integrating Vanguard with a UTM, and an existing LDAP solution, the
user activity tracking is available in real-time, and granular enough
to follow users from computer to computer. "Our customers
asked for an easier way keep their networks safe from abuse, and so
far, the response has been very postive", concludes Salemi.
